Personal development, health and physical education
Personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE) is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10.
PDHPE provides students with opportunities to explore issues that are likely to impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of themselves and others – now and in the future. Students also participate in challenging and enjoyable physical activity, improving their capacity to move with skill and confidence.
Primary schools sports association (PSSA)
Toongabbie West Public School participates in weekly PSSA sport against various local schools in the Wentworthville/Seven Hills competition. There is a summer competition held across Term 1 and Term 4 and a winter competition held across Term 2 and Term 3. Students in Years 3-6 are invited to try out to represent our school on the PSSA teams early in Term 1 (summer) and Term 2 (winter).
